Economic Sustainability

A chance to live the American Dream for all

Every person will have equal opportunity to achieve economic success, sustainability, and financial security.

Economic Empowerment/Sustainability is the Game Changer and here is our WHY:  We are building on a shared belief that Economic Empowerment is key to fighting the hopelessness that is often a part of living in poverty.

The purpose of the Peekskill NAACP Economic Empowerment Committee is to address issues of economic advancement related to:

  • Financial literacy

  • Employment

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Home ownership

  • Building and maintaining businesses

  • Legacy - leaving a financial foundation for future generations.

We want to help people keep more money in their pockets... purchasing things that increase in value and not decrease in value; to build and start businesses that will in turn be able to employ people that look like them.  This is critical to our existence in our community.  If this WHY matters to you than join in the conversation where awareness leads to action.

Our virtual meetings are held at 12 PM on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
